How many people can come on each trip?
There is a maximum of 16 people on each trip.
How big is the bus?
As above the bus has only 16 seats so you will only travel with a maximum of 16 people, a small group giving you the chance to meet everyone!
Who goes on these trips?
Many types of people from many different countries! Maybe students living in London and learning English. Maybe people visiting England for a holiday!
Where are they from?
Well the driver/guide/teacher is English. He is from London.
The other students/passengers will probably be from many different countries. European Countries like France, Italy, Poland, Turkey, Spain. Asian countries like Japan, Korea, China, India, Thailand. South American countries like Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Brazil. Probably other countries too!
What do we do?
Well, you see England and speak English! We go to some different places during the day, see where we are going here. We also have the chance to make new friends and practice our English see here. Depending on where we are going we might go to a village pub, we might go to a beach, we might go to a castle, we might go camping, many different things. Check trip details for more information.
What does the price include?
The price includes all ticket costs and all food/drinks and snacks and of course all travel. You can spend more money in shops/cafes and pubs if you want but there is no need to do this. For more price information see here.
Can we come in a group?
Yes no problem. The maximum group size is 16 people, so as long as there is enough space this is no problem.
I want to go somewhere that you don't go to.
Why not?
If you have a special request maybe The English Bus can go there! If we think other passengers/student will like it then maybe. Just send us a message!
I am a vegetarian! Do you give special food for vegetarians?
When we have lunch there is always a vegetarian option, so don't worry!
I smoke! Can I smoke on the trip?
You can't smoke on the bus. However we stop regularly and you can smoke outside the bus.
I don't drink alcohol. I'm not interested in going to a pub!
Many people don't drink. You driver/guide/teacher certainly isn't drinking on the trip! Pubs are a special traditional part of England, you don't have to drink alcohol to enjoy them! Sometimes on trips we will go to a pub. If you want to drink alcohol then no problem!! If not you can have a non-alcoholic drink and enjoy the conversation.
Is there a toilet on the bus?
Its only a small bus so no! But we stop regularly, we never drive for more that 1.5 hours without stopping and if you really need to stop for some reason then just speak to the driver and he will stop if it is safe.
Does the bus driver have a special license and does the company have insurance?!
Yes! The bus driver is very experienced at driving buses. He's a very safe and considerate driver! He also has a special driving license that normal people don't have. Also the company has full insurance, we are a professional business.
If there are not 16 people on the trip will the trip be cancelled?
No! At The English Bus we don't cancel trips because we don't have a full bus. Most trips will sell out fast so it is recommended that you book as soon as possible.
