A day trip to France! We'll be visiting the beautiful French town of Boulogne-sur-Mer. Eat French food, visit cafes, go shopping, buy wine and cheese, visit an 800 year old French Chateau (castle) and more! Please ensure you have a valid passport or travel visa (if your nationality requires)!

The journey to France is also special - we'll travel by ferry across the English Channel and return on the channel tunnel!

We'll visit a French restaurant to try some real French food, explore the city, go shopping for food, wine and souvenirs and visit an 800 year old French castle!
France! It doesn't need an introduction! Cafés, wine, cheese, chateaux, haute cuisine (fantastic food!) A country with an extremely strong cultural heritage and a long and interesting history, and it is only 40km away from England!
Boulogne is a pretty and typical French city of 50,000 people. Cafés, restaurants, boutique shops, wine shops, cheese shops, everything French is available here.
Boulogne has a long history dating back to Roman times. There is a beautiful French chateau (castle) that is 800 years old and a harbour full of fishing boats to creat a real French seaside city atmosphere!
We'll meet at 8.00am and after an introduction to the day from your driver/guide we'll begin our French adventure!
We'll be taking the channel tunnel train under the sea to France. Drive the bus onto the train, then 30 minutes later we will emerge in France!
We'll arrive at the city of Calais and then drive for 30 minutes to the city of Boulogne-sur-Mer (translation - Boulogne on Sea!)
We'll arrive in Boulogne at lunch time and the first thing we'll do is have a very French group lunch at a pre-booked French restaurant and a chance to try some traditional French food! (This is optional and of course you are free to chose your own restaurant) After lunch you'll have a lot of time to explore the city, visit a French castle, go shopping, buy some French wine and cheese or sit in a French café and relax!
For those who would like to see something different in the afternoon there will be an optional visit to the nice seaside town of Wimereux, 10 minutes drive from Boulogne. Stroll along the beach with views across the English Channel, pop into a seaside cafe, visit chocolate shops and patisseries for some French delicacies.
We'll be leaving Boulogne at 18.45 to return to England, we'll drive for 30 minutes along the coast and then put the bus onto a train to go under the sea back to England! It takes just 30 minutes and is a very unique experience!
We'll be arriving back in London at approximately 9.00pm
What's included in the Trip Price?
The trip price includes all your travel, crossings to and from France and the services of your friendly driver and guide. It also includes drinks and snacks while we are on the bus. The French castle in Boulogne is FREE!
What's not included in the Trip Price?
The trip price does not meals.
