Liverpool

We'll explore this exciting energetic city, famous as the home of the world's most famous band - The Beatles, its long industrial heritage and its footballing culture (Everton FC and Liverpool FC) Take a walking tour of Liverpool taking in its history and culture, visit the museum about the Beatles (The Beatles Story) and have a night out partying in Liverpool with the chance to watch live Beatles music in the home of the Beatles - The world famous Cavern Club!

Manchester

Manchester! The centre of the industrial revolution, home to the world's biggest football team - Manchester United and the cultural capital of the north of England!

First we visit Manchester United - an optional tour of the amazing stadium - Old Trafford - and a visit to the club museum to see their trophies! Then to the city centre where we'll take a guided walk around Manchester talking about Manchester's long and tough history and the exciting modern Manchester. After the tour there is chance to visit the interesting and free Museum of Science and Industry.

Liverpool

Music and football. The most famous exports from Liverpool. The Beatles, Liverpool and Everton FC dominate Liverpool, even without them Liverpool is a fantastically energetic city that mixes old with new. Fantastic modern architecture together with old industrial buildings converted for modern use. Nightlife that makes even the quietest people go wild, the European City of Culture 2008 will give you memories your will never forget.

Manchester

Home to the world's most famous football team Manchester United, the birth place of world industry 200 years ago, where Indie Rock, Britpop and British electronic music began. Manchester, or MADchester, is arguably the second most important city in England. This is a 21st century city with 19th century heritage and a must visit place if you are coming to England. During the day Manchester buzzes with shoppers, tourists and workers. At night Manchester changes to a vibrant busy nightspot with fantastic bars and clubs around the city.

Starting at 8.00am on Saturday from Kennington Station in London, returning to London at 8.30pm on Sunday

Day 1 - Liverpool, Abbey Road, the Beatles Story and the Cavern Club
Saturday - From London to Liverpool! All afternoon/evening/night in Liverpool

Leave London from Kennington Station at 8.00am, stopping at Abbey Road in London, where many of the Beatles' most famous records were recorded, recreating the album cover of the "Abbey Road" record. Then to Liverpool arriving early afternoon. We'll start with a walking tour of this fantastic city, followed by a visit to the wonderful Beatles Story museum. In the evening we'll have a group meal and on to party in the Cavern Club - where the Beatles started playing to live audiences - we'll have the opportunity to listen to some live bands playing famous Beatles songs - if you are brave you can sing on stage too!

Day 2 - Manchester and Manchester United
Sunday - Liverpool to Manchester and back to London

After leaving Liverpool in the morning we'll go to Manchester! First stopping at England and probably the world's most famous football club, love them or hate them, Manchester United! We'll have a couple of hours to take an optional tour of the stadium and visit the museum. If you don't want to visit Manchester United you can take the opportunity to spend more time in Manchester City centre. After Manchester United, we'll go to central Manchester for some lunch followed by a walking tour of the city - a chance to learn about it's amazing industrial heritage and see the new modern part of the city. We'll end by visiting Manchester's Museum of Science and Industry. Then off back to London where we will arrive at approximately 8.30pm

What's not included in the Trip Price?

The trip price does not include accommodation in Liverpool. We'll be staying in a clean and friendly youth hostel in the city centre. The accommodation price for one night is £20, payable upon arrival at the hostel. Optional entrance to the Beatles story is £6.50 and entrance to Manchester United for the stadium tour and museum is £9.50
