Tour Departure Point

For every tour we depart from the same place – opposite the London Eye, near the corner of Belvedere Road and Chicheley Street, Waterloo – SE1 7BP.

The exact departure point is a coach parking bay on Belvedere Road, opposite the London Eye and in front of Jubilee Gardens (this is the park in front of the London Eye). With your back to the London Eye, head straight through the gardens and the first road you reach will be Belvedere Road, and the coach parking bay where The English Bus, and your guide will be waiting to meet you.

The coach parking bay is near the corner of Belvedere Road and Chicheley Street – see the map below, Google street view image and Transport for London journey planner for more information.

Journey Planner

The departure point is a 4 minute walk from Waterloo Station. It is also within walking distance of Charing Cross Station, Embankment Station, and Westminster Station.

Waterloo Station is accessible via mainline train services, and the Northern, Bakerloo and Jubilee lines of the Underground.

We depart from here because it is very central which allows us to leave London quickly and because it is very easy to find us – just look for the London Eye!

London Eye

We only have 1 departure point, which makes it easier for everyone and means that we don’t waste any precious tour time doing multiple pickups around London. The route out of London from the London Eye takes us past some wonderful sights, which your guide will tell you all about.

The bus usually arrives 5 – 10 minutes before the departure time so please don’t worry if you are early and we are not there! There are toilets in Waterloo Station and there are a few coffee shops in the area, should you be early and wish to get a drink/breakfast.

ALL tours on The English Bus depart from the same point. In the unlikely event that we have to change the departure point before the tour we will inform you immediately by telephone or email.

Arriving by tube/train to Waterloo Station

When you arrive at Waterloo Station, follow the signs for York Road and the London Eye. Exit 6 is the closest exit to the departure point from the mainline train station.

Arriving by taxi

Tell the taxi driver that you need to go to the corner of Belvedere Road and Chicheley Street, near the London Eye.

Arriving on foot

If you fancy getting up and about early, and you are staying not far from Southbank, what could be better than a morning stroll to the departure point? The departure point is located between Westminster Bridge and the Golden Jubilee Bridges. Once you reach the London Eye, head away from the river, through Jubilee Gardens, and you will reach Belvedere Road, where the departure point is.
